How does Well Nation Canada handle PIPEDA and provincial privacy law?

Well Nation Canada is PIPEDA-compliant by default and is configured to meet the privacy requirements of Quebec (Law 25), British Columbia (PIPA), and Alberta (PIPA) — the three provinces with substantially-similar private-sector privacy legislation. Canadian member data is processed in compliance with Canadian residency expectations, and the platform's underlying security posture is validated across three regulatory regions.

How does Well Nation's rewards engine work with Canadian benefit structures?

Rewards fulfill into the benefits Canadian employees actually use — Health Spending Accounts (HSA / HCSA), premium discounts on group benefits, group RRSP contributions, gift cards, or PTO. We don't run a proprietary mall, because tax-advantaged dollars into an HCSA are worth substantially more to the employee than equivalent face-value merchandise.

What does "covered spouse included free" actually mean?

It means exactly what it says. The CAD PEPM you see is the CAD PEPM your population is billed at. Spouses enrolled in your group benefits plan can access the platform — HRA, eCoaching, challenges, rewards — at no additional per-employee cost. Most wellness vendors operating in Canada either exclude spouses, charge separately for them, or quote them as a custom-quote line item. Well Nation Canada doesn't.

Is the pricing in Canadian dollars, or USD with a conversion?

All Well Nation Canada pricing is in Canadian dollars and invoiced in Canadian dollars. There is no USD-to-CAD conversion, no FX exposure, and no quiet rate adjustment when the loonie moves. C$4.95, C$7.50, and C$11.50 are the rates you'll pay — not the rates we publish then bill against a different baseline.

What about outcomes-based incentives — are they compliant in Canada?

Yes. The Outcomes tier is designed around provincial human-rights legislation, which requires that incentive-based wellness programs offer a reasonable alternative pathway for employees who cannot meet outcomes-based criteria for protected reasons. Well Nation Canada bakes the alternative pathway into the incentive design rather than treating it as a compliance afterthought.
